SALUKIS head to New York to face DUKE!!!

The Salukis (2-0) will play Duke (2-0) at Madison Square Garden in New York next Thursday in a nationally televised game on ESPN2.

The SIU Alumni Association and the recently established Greater New York Club invite all alumni and friends to cheer on the Salukis in New York at Madison Square Garden!

Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available to attendees. A free commemorative t-shirt will be given away to the 1st 50 attendees at the reception. Volunteers needed to assist at the event. TICKET INFORMATION:
The SIU Alumni Association has reserved a consignment of all-session game passes to the semi-finals at Madison Square Garden on November 20 as well as the consolation and championship games on November 21. All-session game passes are $100 plus shipping. Pre-order your all-session passes now by clicking on the “Register” button above. In the event the Salukis do not advance, pu rchase price will be refunded.

Friday, November 21— Madison Square Garden
• Consolation Game – 5 p.m.
• Championship Game – 7 p.m.

Southern Illinois and Duke are pre-tournament selects for the semi-finals of the Championship Game on 20 November 2008 at Madison Square Garden in New York. I have purchase my tickets through Ticket Master for 54.00 a piece, plus convience fee, etc.. two tickets came to 135.00. I am in section 226. It looks like the seats are going fast, so if you plan on going you may want to start looking at purchasing tickets. I have attached the tournament bracket and the link to the event website is below. There is a chance that some tickets will be made available through the SIU Alumni Association, but I am not holding my breath, so I went on and purchased some tickets.

TIME CHANGE FOR SATURDAY OCTOBER 11TH

NOTE: TIME CHANGE!

Penn Quarter Sports Tavern will not be able to show tomorrow's game until 630pm tomorrow evening due to a channel and time change.

Tomorrow's Game has been changed for viewing on Fox Sports Network Mid-West from live to tape delayed starting at 1830 tomorrow evening. The Game will be broadcast live at 1430 on Fox Sports Network Kansas City channel 472 on Direct TV and channel 451 on Dish Network, unfortunately Penn Quarter Sports Tavern can not receive this channel due to some sort of blackout restriction in the area.

Therefore, tomorrow's watch party will not start until 1830. This is a no host event, but Matt at Penn Quarter will be happy to show the tape delayed game and reserve a section of the pub for Saluki Fans.

SIU Football Saturday October 11, 2008

This Saturday at 2:30 PM, Penn Quarter Sports Tavern will host a Saluki Fan Watch Party as the # 16 ranked SIU Saluki Football team (2-2) takes on the Indiana State Sycamores (0-5).

This will be a no host event. When you arrive at Penn Quarter Sports Tavern in your Saluki attire the pub host will seat you in the Saluki Section. RSVP for this event will help to determine the seating area at the pub, but it is not required.
